Part of any good Ethics Program is periodically confirming that the Code of Ethics is still a valuable and valued statement.
Confirming is similar to developing a code initially. Evaluating consists in:
- Determine if the culture of the group has changed since the CoE was last evaluated.
- Determine if the shared values of all members of the group has changed.
- Explicitly confirm that consensus still exists.
Once an updated statement to reflect any changes noted above has been prepared it must be affirmed and confirmed by all members of the group.
